Another amazing year as a wedding photographer in Kent

I’m sure it’s all too obvious why there wasn’t much of a 2020 best of blog post last year, but after a crazy year of wedding postponements, I’m so happy to be back with my best of 2021 wedding photography post!

I actually photographed more weddings in 2021 than any other year so there were so many photos to choose from when putting this post together. The weddings were all so different as well in scale, some were completely unrestricted with a full guest list and some were just a couple of hours coverage with 4 guests, one wedding I even signed the register myself!

When putting this collection together it was interesting to see that the photos I gravitated mostly towards were not couple shots and moments between the couple but all the beautiful little moments between family and friends. I think after a year of being locked in our homes and the constant disappointment of having to rearrange wedding dates, people were excited to see their loved ones like nevermore. The heightened emotions that came from this definitely influenced my wedding photography. I’ve always been a wedding photographer known for capturing the joy of the day but all those hugs ( when they were allowed) were so awesome to see and photograph that although this was maybe the busiest time of my life, it was probably also the most fun.

I also want to take this time to thank all the amazing couples for letting me capture their special day. Its such an honour to do this for a job and it was so fun looking back through all these photos and updating the portfolio. 2023 looks like its going to be even busier than ever but I can’t to capture some more awesome documentary photography.
