Gildredge Manor Wedding Photographer

Sophie & Tom’s summer wedding

Back in 2018, I had the absolute please of being Sophie & Tom's wedding photographer for their wedding at Gildredge Manor. This wedding was just perfect from start to finish and the kind of day I love to photograph from start to finish. This was my first time being Gildredge Manor wedding photographer and it did not disappoint. A Georgian Manor house located in Eastbourne, this wedding venue has it all.

I had an absolute blast capturing Sophie & Tom's wedding. The weather was perfect and the wedding was a lot of fun and really relaxed. Below is a collection of some of my favourite photos of the day. If you've ended up on this page because you're getting married and looking for a wedding photographer for your wedding at Gildrege Manor then welcome! I'm Danny and I'm a Kent wedding photographer specializing in natural, laid back photography for couples who love photos of real moments that tell the story of their wedding. About Gildredge Manor

Gildredge Manor is a grade II listed building that was taken on by the current owners in 2011. Before then it had become run down and derelict but fortunately they put a lot of love into the building and turned it into a studding wedding venue. The manor house was originally built in 1776 and a lot of its old charm and character is still present today. I especially love the main staircase. Gildredge Manor is located in Gildgredge park itself so has the added benefit of tonnes of beautiful options for the bride and groom's couple photos. This venue caters for all kinds of weddings and grants exclusive access for every couple. It can hose 100 guests for the ceremony and 150 for the evening and has many beautifully decorated rooms that the newlyweds can use throughout the day. As well as all the stunning rooms Gildredge Manor is surrounded by a picturesque garden where wedding guests can relax an enjoy canapes in the sun. This wedding venue was perfect for Sophie & Tom who wanted a relaxed and fun wedding with their family and friends

Getting Ready at Gildredge Manor

Brides and grooms have the option to get ready before the ceremony at Gildrege Manor. Sophie got ready upstairs in the ladies morning room which was a lovely space with large windows that provided great light for photos. It was a fun morning hanging out with Sophie's bridesmaids and her family and everyone had a great time getting pampered before getting into their dresses. Sophie's wedding dress looked incredible and Tom also looked particularly dapper in his light blue suit.

The Ceremony at Gildredge Manor

Depending on the number of wedding guests you have, there are two options for the ceremony. For larger groups, there is the Long Gallery which is located upstairs and for smaller ceremonies, there is the Garden Room that is located downstairs. Sophie and Tom chose the Garden Room,  a wonderfully bright space that makes for a lovely backdrop for you to make your I-dos. The ceremony was lovely from start to finish and it was really special to see how much it meant to all of Sophie & Tom's wedding guests. After the ceremony was finished and the lovely couple were wed everyone headed outside to play games and enjoy the sunshine.

Wedding Photography at Gildrege Manor

Gildredge Manor is the perfect venue for wedding photographers and there are plenty of fantastic opportunities for great photos. One really cool feature of this wedding venue is that it is located in a beautifully landscaped park. The happy couple and I took a wander around the park a couple of times in the day and I and my camera were very lucky to have the amount of lovely photogenic backdrops the park offered. For those colder or wetter weddings or for a bit of variety, the inside of the venue is also lovely for photographs. I’m particularly fond of the Library that has great light for photos.

Girdredge Manor Wedding Reception

On their wedding, Sophie & Tom elected to not have speeches and instead spend more time outside in the sun. The did use the upstairs area though to host an exquisite buffet which the guests loved. Once the sun had started to go down it was ready for the evening to kick off in earnest. Sophie and Tom had hired an incredible rock wedding band that all the guests loved having a boogie too. I especially enjoyed the moment when Tom was lifted by his friends at the end!
