Danny was an extremely professional and a safe pair of hands for our big day. From dealing with him from our engagement shoot right the way through to the delivery of the wedding album you couldn’t have asked for anything more from a wedding photographer.
— Brogan & Andrew

High House Farm is a  venue I was fortunate to be the wedding photographer for back in 2018 for the amazing couple that are Andrew & Brogan. Although being based in Kent, this Essex barn wedding venue is pretty close to my doorstep but before this fabulous wedding day, I admit I didn't know it existed. I still remember walking through the entranceway and being totally blown away. High House Farm is a wedding photographer's paradise. I can't think of any couple whose wedding High house farm wouldn't be perfect for. Six acres of meticulously landscaped gardens set in the Essex countryside, for those looking for a wedding venue that makes the most of nature and the outdoors then this just may be the wedding venue for you.

Andrew and Brogan got married on a glorious summer's day. I actually know Andrew through my brother and we first met at a Foo Fighters concert so it was a pleasure to see them again. We also met up for an engagement shoot in London before their wedding. Below I have put down some of my favourite photos from the happy couple's wedding and there's also a slideshow. Under that is a description of why I loved this venue so much and why any High House Farm wedding photographer would love to shoot here.

If you're getting married at High House Farm and you're looking for a wedding photographer for your big day then I would love to hear from you, I offer a natural approach to wedding photography that focuses on capturing authentic moments of love and laughter.

About High House Farm

High House Farm is an award-winning,family-owned wedding venue. The venue offers exclusive use of the entire six acres and has everything a bride and groom could ask for from getting the wedding in the morning to dancing the night away. There are so many different areas of the venue that it never feels like you're using the same place twice which I found was a lovely experience for the flow of the day. As mentioned above, this venue really does suit all tastes. There is a rustic and relaxed vibe partnered with just the right level of luxury so your wedding guest can enjoy the picturesque setting without feeling overwhelmed by glamour.

Getting Ready

In the morning, there is a designated area for the bride and her bridesmaids to get ready. This cool space features a swimming pool! Brogan was able to chill out here and enjoy having her hair and makeup done with friends whilst being pampered. The whole morning was a lot of fun, meanwhile, my second photographer was with Andrew in the morning capturing that side of the story. With my wedding photography, I offer a second shooter as an additional extra and groom prep is one of the benefits you get of booking one.

The Ceremony

Once the soon to be married couple were ready it was time for the wedding ceremony. High House Farm offers two options for their ceremonies both of which are fantastic. For indoor ceremonies, there is the Essex Barn. A grade II listed building dating back to 1750 and lovingly restored. For those looking for a barn wedding in Essex, then this is a great option. Andrew and Brogan, however, went for the outdoor option. Located in the centre of the wedding venue. The thatched Gazebo is a highlight of the High House, The rolling fields are in clear view here and the entrance-way really is something for special.

Wedding Photography at High House Farm

Once the ceremony is finished, guests are able to relax and enjoy reception drinks whilst group photographs and couple photos are taken. The newlywed's wedding party relaxed at the stable courtyards and we were able to use the neighbouring pond for some photos. My favourite spot for pictures, however, is the vineyard just next to the car park. The light is just perfect here during the evenings and couples love it as a unique setting for their wedding photographer to get some snaps. Another great thing about this venue is its epic sunset, your wedding guests will be grabbing their cameras to get photos themselves as the landscape shines under the evening sun.

The Wedding Reception

Once its time to head inside for food and speeches, the wedding party will then move into the Marquee. Brogan & Andrew had done a terrific job of decorating the space and it really celebrated them as a couple. Everything looked great, from the wedding cake to the table directions.

I absolutely loved these wedding speeches. Andrew had not one but two best men, both did a fantastic job with their speech and everyone was in stitches, myself included. Once everyone was fed and had their fill of laughter it was time to hit the dance-floor. The dance-floor was an absolute hit and everyone had a fantastic time dancing the night away.

Thank you much to all the lovely staff and High House Barn for putting on such a fantastic day for this lovely couple. I would love to work here again so if you're looking for High House Farm Farm wedding Photographer then I would love to hear from you!
