Kedleston Country House Wedding Photographer
Lauren & Rich
As a Kedleston Country House Wedding Photographer, it was an absolute joy to photograph Lauren & Rich's wedding. Kedleston is a Georgian House set on the edge of a historic estate in Derbyshire. The happy couple got married back in 2018 and it was a beautiful wedding from start to finish and a pleasure to witness through my lens.
Kedleston Country House is the perfect wedding venue for those looking for a relaxed wedding who are looking for a fun and special day. Their award-winning events team are total pros at catering for your wedding, from getting ready to hit the dancefloor with your loved ones and your wedding is in safe hands.
Below are a few photos from Lauren & Riches wedding at this amazing venue. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer then please do get in touch. My style is natural and relaxed and suited for those who want fun and authentic wedding photos.
Getting Ready at home
Brides and grooms and their wedding guests can all get ready for their weddings at the County House. There are many beautifully decorated bedrooms to get ready in. Lauren actually was able to get ready for the family home before taking a wedding car in for the ceremony. It was a lovely morning where Lauren's parents and bridesmaids were able to relax with champagne whilst wedding makeup artists helped get everyone ready. After a lovely morning and with a wedding dress on, flowers in hand it was time to hop into the wedding car and head on off to the ceremony. Lauren's dress was absolutely stunning and you can see photos of it below.
The Wedding ceremony at the Kedleston
For the I-dos, Kedleston has two locations to choose from. Firstly, there is the stunning Orangery that holds up 70 guests and features panoramic views of the country that make for great wedding photos. The other ceremony room is the dining room which is perfect for smaller ceremonies. Lauren and Rich chose to get married in the orangery and the ceremony was really lovely. There was a lot of love and laughter and I'm really happy with the photos. After the ceremony, Lauren & Rich walked back down the aisle to greet an amazing surprise. Lauren had hired a couple of donkeys for Rich! We then through confetti on the stairs.
Wedding Photography at Kedleston
I loved being a wedding photographer at Kedleston Country House. The grounds are gorgeous and natural and make for great backdrops both in summer and winter weddings in all different weather. During the reception, we got some great group pictures just outside the house which were a lot of fun. The couple had hired an ice cream van for their wedding guests which suited the summer sun really well. We also went out to get some wedding portraits with just the couple which Lauren and Rich were amazing for. As the venue is in the countryside there are loads of lovely locations for your portraits.
The Wedding reception
After some time outside and all the formal wedding photos were done, the wedding party headed in for speeches and their wedding breakfast. Laughter and tears of pride were abundant during the speeches and I was laughing along from behind my camera. Kedleston state on their website that they are happy to host a variety of food choices but Lauren and Rich went for a BBQ which tasted amazing!
After dinner we headed back into the Orangery to hit the dancefloor, there was a wedding band that was amazing to dance too as well as a campervan photobooth outside which was heaps of fun.
