Cockliffe Country House Wedding photography
Sophie & Craig
Sophie & Craig got married back in 2019 at the amazing Cockliffe Country House. I’ve photographed weddings at the Nottingham venue a few times before, in fact, I think it was one of the first venues I ever shot a wedding at years ago. As I’m now a Kent Wedding photographer, it’s always a treat to be able to back up north to shoot at venues like this. I’m actually now pleased to say I am now a recommended supplier so if you’re on the lookout for a Cockliffe Country House Wedding Photographer then I’d love to hear from you. My style is natural and relaxed . If you would like to you can also check out my portfolio and pricing.
Below I have written about what an awesome venue Cockliffe is and about Sophie and Craig’s wedding. I’ve also included some of my favourite photos from the day as well as a slideshow for you to enjoy.

About Cockliffe Country House
Cockliffe Country House is a great venue couple looking for a beautiful yet relaxed wedding day with plenty of options to make the day their own. There are lots of cool spots for guests to mingle and for portraits and a new barn extension perfect for ceremonies, wedding breakfast, and for dancing. The venue itself dates back to 1678 and is chocked full of history. Its also located in the countryside outside just outside of the centre of Nottingham which is ideal. This Nottingham wedding venue is great for your wedding photographs as both inside and outside there are many beautiful backdrops to choose from.
Getting Ready At Cockliffe Country House
Sophie got ready at Cockliffe Country House with her bridesmaids in the morning. It was a fun morning full of music and laughter and Sophie’s dog was even around to steal the show. I was able to see and photograph the ceremony room before everyone arrived at it looked stunning. Sophie’s dress was also amazing and was a classic strapless design. Cockliffe offers a few different options for the morning and as there are plenty of rooms available, family and friends can also get ready here which is really nice and makes for a relaxing morning before the ceremony.
The Ceremony at Cockliffe
Cockliffe Country House have a beautiful ( and relatively new) space for their ceremonies which is a delight to take photos in. The ceremony space is beautiful and very elegant with stunning light coming in from the end window. Craig was very excited to see Sophie walking down the aisle and it made for a fantastic moment. The Ceremony was lovely and well enjoyed by Sophie & Craig’s many family and friends. After the ceremony was finished, everyone headed out for confetti and to enjoy the lovely sunshine. We did some family photos in the garden as well as some portraits around the venue before it was time to sit down for speeches.
Wedding Photography at Cockliffe Country House
Couple time is one of my favourite part of the wedding day and its always special for the bride and groom to get some time alone to reflect. I love to get some beautiful portraits at this point for my clients and Cockliffe provided a pretty backdrop for these photos. We wondered out to the front of the venue where there is a neighbouring stable and countryside road which were great.
The Reception
The speeches were probably my favourite part of the day to shoot, they were all incredibly funny and emotional and gave me some great shots. Because it was summer, after the speeches, everyone headed out again to enjoy the weather. One of my favourite things about Cockliffe Country House is the large open space around the venue that couples can use for games and as a space to relax with their guests. After this, we all headed back into the venue to hit the dancefloor. It was great to capture everyone dancing the night away to some amazing music provided by the DJ
Below are a few photos from their amazing day, enjoy! If you’re getting married at Cockliffe Country House or indeed anywhere in the UK then please do get in touch. I’d love to hear from you!
